Ridgeway Textiles Ltd. has been a leading UK manufacturer of branded sportswear and athletic kit supplier since the early 80's. the Company was founded by John Cooper and Peter Wilson, both still active in the day to day business of the Company.

John Cooper is by Profession a Chartered Textile Technologist, and worked for many years in the Sports & Leisure wear Manufacturing Companies of  the East Midlands. His leisure time has always been in active sports, having competed as Club athlete for Sutton-in-Ashfield Harriers and now as Senior Middle Distance Coach with Mansfield Harriers.

Peter Wilson is a skilled Sewing Machine Technician, who spent his teenage years in competitive Tennis.

Our pattern maker, Andrew Aked, is still a competing athlete, having spent his teenage years running for Sutton-in-Ashfield Harriers, and now a member of the strong road team at Rotherham Harriers. During his teenage years Andrew was coached by John Cooper.

Kelly Hill, our sales and admin assistant has never been athlete, but recently she has taken an interest in the sport, and is now attending some of the major races with John and Andrew, maybe you will meet Kelly one day!

The long and happy relationship with Ronhill Sports - athletic kit supplier had developed to such an extent, that during November 1999, negotiations began, resulting in Ridgeway buying the license to manufacture Ronhill Specials direct to Clubs. Many styles are available, not listed on this website. We manufacture and supply Pertex shorts, jackets, trousers, suits, tactel shell suits, thermal underwear, fleece jackets etc.
