3 cities. 3 days. 3 triathlons. – 11 – 13th March
The challenge is on! We’re happy to give our support and kit out Jo Whiley and her BBC Radio 2 teammates Reverend Kate Bottley and Richie Anderson (and a few other famous faces along the way) will tackle an extremely demanding triathlon challenge, all to raise money for people living incredibly tough lives here in the UK and around the world.
DAY 1 – CARDIFF
Swim at Barry Community Water Sports Centre. Then the cycle from there to Cardiff Sailing Club. Final stage is the run which finished at Cardiff Library.
DAY 2 – GLASGOW
Started the swim at Pinkston Watersports Centre, Canal Bank St, before cycling at the same location and then onto the run into George Square.
DAY 3 – MANCHESTER
Swim at Helly Hanson Watersports centre, Salford Quays, then cycle at the same location. The team will then be running to Media City Plaza, finishing at the Sport Relief studio.
Jo Whiley’s Dare 2 Tri will see the brave team take in all the tough terrain of a rugged outdoor triathlon; with gruelling open water swimming, punishing cycling routes, and energy-sapping runs. On top of that, they’ll have the added demand of doing Jo’s show each evening and getting to the next city to do it all over again the next day.
