#RunEveryDay – Acai Berry Seeded Smoothie

An antioxidant packed smoothie and rich in anti-inflammatory fats to support recovery after exercise. Use yogurt, kefir or a mixture to create a delicious creamy shake as well as boosting your intake of beneficial bacteria known to support immune health and digestive function.

 Preparation time: 5 minutes

Pomegranates are packed with vitamin C, vitamin K, folic acid and antioxidants. They have anti-inflammatory properties to support recovery and immune function.

 

Serves 2

 

Ingredients:

300g / 2 cups fresh or frozen berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries)

1 small banana, chopped

200ml plain yogurt or coconut yogurt

200ml pomegranate juice

Handful of spinach leaves

1tsp acai berry powder

1tbsp mixed seeds

30g / 1 scoop vanilla or plain or berry protein powder

 

Place the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth and creamy.
