Wide Fitting Running Shoes

As well as having a Zero Drop platform, all Altra shoes have a wide, foot-shaped toe box. Traditional running shoes are narrow throughout the toe box, forcing the toes together and out of their natural position.

When your foot makes contact with the ground whilst running it will want to spread out – this is the body’s natural way of absorbing shock. In a wide fitting shoe, the extra space allows the foot to do this as well as improving stability and propulsion.

As well as this, the foot expands as it gets warm. Having the extra space in the shoe can prevent damaged toes/toenails, neuromas, bunions and pins & needles.
